Why visit a showroom when you can hear the difference in your actual space? We conduct full demonstrations right in your home. Site surveys are $250, which is fully credited to your project when you move forward. This small fee ensures we're working with serious clients while giving you honest, pressure-free evaluation.
From Design to Final Calibration
Mike Knows Audio Video handles every aspect of your home theater installation. We design the system for your space, select and install all components, run all wiring, and professionally calibrate everything for optimal performance.
Every system comes with professional calibration. We never use receiver auto-calibration — instead, we manually measure and tune your room using the same professional tools and techniques used in recording studios.

This Sedona home theater demonstrates what's possible when speakers are designed and built for a specific space, not pulled from a manufacturer's catalog. Every component was handcrafted in our Arizona workshop and calibrated specifically for this room's unique acoustic characteristics.
Custom Tower Speakers — 360 Pounds of Handcrafted Audio
The front left and right towers stand nearly 6 feet tall and weigh 360 pounds each. These aren't just big speakers — they're complete audio systems engineered for full-range, room-shaking performance:
- Dual 18-inch subwoofers per tower with 1,500 watts of integrated amplification
- 8-inch woofer for punchy mid-bass
- 4-inch dome midrange for clear, detailed vocals
- 7-inch ribbon tweeter for silky, extended highs without harshness
By integrating the subwoofers directly into the tower cabinets, we eliminated the placement compromises and "boomy" bass problems that plague systems with separate subwoofer boxes. The bass is tight, controlled, and powerful — you feel it in your chest without the muddy one-note rumble of typical home theater subs.
The matching center channel carries the same driver complement (minus the 18-inch subs) for seamless tonal balance across the front soundstage. Dialogue is crystal clear at any volume, perfectly anchored to the screen regardless of where you're sitting.
The rear surrounds feature a unique dual-firing design built specifically for this room:
- Dual 2-inch ribbon tweeters
- Dual 3-inch midrange drivers firing toward the ceiling and along the walls
- Creates an enveloping, diffuse surround field rather than localized "speaker" sound
Two dedicated 6-inch rear subwoofers with 300 watts each add low-frequency impact from behind the listening position.
