Our process starts by bringing multiple theater systems to your home. No showroom acoustics, no guessing — you hear exactly what you're getting in your actual space.
Mike Vincent is the founder and sole operator of Mike Knows Audio Video, an Arizona custom speaker manufacturer and home theater installer. Since founding the business in 2016, Mike has personally designed, built, installed, and calibrated every system the company has shipped — for homeowners across Northern and Central Arizona. The business carries a 5.0 rating across 61 verified Google and Yelp reviews and intentionally limits capacity to 15 clients per year.
Mike's background combines hands-on audio engineering with custom woodworking and electronics fabrication. He designs speaker cabinets in CAD software, machines them on a CNC router in his Arizona workshop, and hand-assembles every driver, amplifier, and DSP module himself. This vertical integration — from cabinet design to final room calibration — is rare in the home theater industry, where most installers resell mass-produced equipment.
Every installation includes professional acoustic calibration using studio-grade measurement tools: a Phonic PAA6 analyzer, calibrated measurement microphones, and real-time acoustic analysis software. Mike personally handles every consultation, build, installation, and calibration — no subcontractors, no sales teams, no middlemen. When you call (928) 440-1950, Mike answers. When something needs warranty service three years from now, Mike is the one who shows up.
Clients follow the entire fabrication process through the online portfolio system with real-time photo updates at every stage, and every finished speaker ships with a birth certificate documenting its model, specifications, build date, and the home it was made for.
WubWub Audio is the speaker brand Mike designs and builds exclusively for Mike Knows Audio Video clients. The name started as a nickname for the visceral low-frequency response Mike's earliest custom subwoofers produced — the kind of bass you feel as much as hear — and stuck because it captured what the brand has always been about: speakers built for the actual rooms people live in, not for showroom demos.
Every WubWub Audio speaker is CNC-machined from MDF or Baltic birch in our Arizona workshop, finished to match your home's interior, and individually bench-tested before installation. Powered models include integrated amplification with per-driver DSP — the kind of room correction precision that's impossible with passive speakers and receiver-based EQ. The brand does not sell direct, does not retail through dealers, and does not exist in any showroom. Every speaker is built for one specific home, delivered by the person who built it, and backed by a 10-year warranty.
Mike Knows Audio Video is a licensed Arizona retailer and manufacturer. Speakers are the core product; installation and calibration are the value-add that makes them perform.
"Mike's technical knowledge of all things audio is off the charts. He and his team did a first-class job of both installing the system and making sure we were comfortable with understanding the operation." — Robert D., Google Review
Most audio companies are product resellers. We actually design and fabricate our own loudspeakers in our Arizona workshop designed specifically for your unique style and home. Our WubWub Audio brand is built exclusively for Mike Knows Audio Video clients.
We intentionally limit our client load. This ensures every installation receives obsessive attention and long-term support.
We don't service or install systems we didn't design. This focused approach ensures we can provide the level of expertise our clients expect.
We visit your space with multiple speaker and theater configurations. You'll hear good, better, and best options in your own room with your preferred content. We discuss your preferences, aesthetic requirements, and budget. We measure the space and identify any acoustic challenges.
Site survey fee is $250, fully credited when you move forward.
Based on the consultation, we design a complete system specifically for your room. If you choose custom speakers, we design the cabinets in CAD software with geometry optimized for your space's acoustic characteristics. We select drivers based on your listening preferences and room requirements.
Custom speakers are built in our Arizona workshop. CNC-machined cabinets, premium drivers, and electronics — powered or passive depending on the project — all assembled and tested before leaving the shop. Typical build time is 6–12 weeks or more.
Professional installation with meticulous cable management. Then we calibrate every speaker using professional measurement microphones and acoustic analysis — the same tools and techniques used in recording studios. We never use receiver auto-calibration.
